  6. The swing of the lamp and microscope 
  7. arms can be locked by the two small knobs 
  8. on the vertical post.  When loosened the 
  9. two units angles can be changed by just 
  10. grasping any part of either and rotating 
  11. them.

  13. There is a scale near these knobs which 
  14. indicates the angle between the light 
  15. source and the microscope.
